SFA end of season youth update part 2

U18s

The U18s went down to the wire as well with Mighty Boosh FC and Inter Retirement competing till the very last match but again the Boosh were just too strong and added yet another youth title to their cabinet, easy to do when you don't have a senior team.

U18 final league positions

1. Mighty Boosh FC 63
2. Inter Retirement 62
3. Unathletic Madrid 56

U18 player of the season

1. Ronald Fernandez - Unathletic Madrid 7.27
2. Peter Daly - Inter Retirement 7.22
3. Mauricio Casas - Wrexham Tigers 7.18

U18 top scorers

1. Johan Nilsson - Inter Retirement 14
1. Lucas Tavares - Wrexham Tigers 14
3. Julius Eze - Unathletic Madrid 13

The U18 cup final saw a dominant Inter Retirement take on surprise finalists North Nibbley Nobblers and Inter quickly took the lead in 15 minutes further cementing it in 56 minutes with a second. It was a nervy end and the nobblers were able to pull one back in the 81st minute but inter held on to take another youth title, congrats nick.

U17s

The U17s proved to be the most interesting league for a few people as the lead changed hands between 4 different clubs towards the end of the season and there were a few surprise results as the top 3 teams were all beaten by inactive ai team in the title run in causing a bit of teeth gnashing in consternation. Eventually the title was decided as Racing Tofflicence won on the last day of the season.

U17 final league positions

1. Racing Tofflicence 57
2. Inter Retirement 55
3. Unathletic Madrid 52

U17 player of the season

1. Vicente Virgili - Mighty Boosh FC 7.53
2. Aleksander Ismaili - Racing Tofflicence 7.24
3. Javier Medina - Unathletic Madrid 7.23

U17 top scorers

1. Aleksander Ismaili - Racing tofflicence 18
2. Johan Nilsson - Inter Retirement 14
3. Javier Medina - Unathletic Madrid 12

The U17 cup final involved yes you guess it Inter Retirement and relative newcomers Mighty Boosh FC. U17 games can throw up some surprising results but not this time as Inter ran out easy 3-0 winners but the big question on everybodies lips was would they have enough room for another youth trophy in the cabinet? Congrats again Nick.

Just a final mention of the youth world cups. In the UFFA youth gold cup we managed to get two teams to the knockout stages Jakswans and Unathletic Madrid but unfortunately both were knocked out in the first knockout stage. In the world youth cup Unathletic Madrid managed to get into the semis but there they faced the current youth world No.1 FC Bozzy, they managed to hold them for 90 minutes but Bozzy were too strong and went on to win 2-0 in extra time, they then went on to win the trophy so no shame there.

SFA Youth end of season update part 1

U21s

Well the anticipated close finish in the U21s did not materialise as the pre tournament favourites walked away with the title and they look unstoppable for next season.

U21 final league standings

1. Mighty Boosh FC 115 pts
2. Inter Retirement 103 pts
3. Jakswans 102 pts

U21 player of the season

1. German Villar - Mighty Boosh FC 7.82
2. Marcos Rogerio Barbieri - Mighty Boosh FC 7.56
3. Marco Ezio Fossati - Mighty Boosh FC 7.46

U21 top scorers

1. Thiago Ferreira Marinho - Real Darlington 42
2. Lucas Amaral - Mighty Boosh FC 30
3. Bjorn Siguroarson - Fremantle United 30

The cup final was contested by the Mighty Boosh FC and Real Darlington and the Mighty Boosh were looking comfortable at 2-0 up with 7 minutes to go but up popped Fabiano Soares with 2 goals one in the 91st minute to take the game to extra time. Extra time was played with no more goals and the game went to penalties. Unfotunately for the mighty boosh they missed 4 of their penalties and real darlington were able to lift the cup by scoring 2 of theirs, well done A.L.

U20s

The U20s was just as much a one horse race as the U21s with the Mighty Boosh walking away with this title as well.

U20 Final league standings

1. Mighty Boosh FC 62
2. Inter Retirement 48
3. Jakswans 45

U20 player of the season

1. German Villar - Mighty Boosh FC 7.90
2. Marcos Rogerio Barbieri - Mighty Boosh FC 7.65
3. Rob Kay - Mighty Boosh FC 7.63

U20 top scorers

1. Gael Etock - Jakswans 21
2. German Villar - Mighty Boosh FC 17
3. Lucas Amaral - Mighty Boosh FC 15

Surprisingly none of the top three league sides managed to make the cup final here it was between Racing Tofflicence and Worst Spam Disunited in a heavily one sided affair Racing cruised to an easy 2-0 win to capture their second youth trophy of the season and Paul was suitably chuffed.

U19s

The U19s was a much closer afair and actually went all the way to the last match but the Mighty Boosh were just to strong for Inter Retirement in the end winning by a narrow 2 pts.

U19 league final standings

1. Mighty Boosh FC 86
2. Inter Retirement 84
3. Racing Tofflicence 80

U19 Player of the season

1. German Villar - Mighty Boosh FC 7.50
2. Marcos Rogerio Barbieri - Mighty Boosh FC 7.41
3. Felipe Mendez - Racing Tofflicence 7.34

U19 top scorers

1. Johan Nilsson - Inter Retirement 28
2. Felipe Mendez - Racing Tofflicence 23
3. Gael Etock - Jakswans 21

The cup final was between Atletico Sheppey and Inter Retirement and was quite a close match but Inter Retirement proved to be too strong and won 2-0 with 2 goals early in the first half, well done Nick.

U18s and U17s to follow...

Best of luck Nick, we might not always see eye to eye on certain topics of debate but I've always respected the way you've gone about your business, you've been a credit to the Moderating team on Shearer and wish you the best of luck on Toms, not that you'll need it.
Kind Regards
Paul

 SFA Midseason youth update

For many seasons the youth in the SFA has been dominated by two teams Inter Retirement and Jakswans but has their dominance come to an end....

U21s

Starting with the U21s which was a 3 horse race last season and eventually won by Jakswans we can see two teams starting to open a lead in points Unathletic Madrid and Racing Tofflicence but this is only due to the fact they have played more games. According to the lastest points predictions both of these teams will be overhauled by Inter Retirement, Amogen Athletic, Jakswans, Real Darlington and surprise package Mighty Boosh in what promises to be the most exciting finish to the U21s ever. Whatever happens there will be some very interesting matches to come over the next week.

U20s

New for this season we have the U20s which at the moment is dominated by the Mighty Boosh who have won all 7 of their games so far. Inter Retirement look to be on form to challenge the Mighty Boosh whilst Jakswans are not far off and in with an outside chance.

U19s

Currently Racing Tofflicence are leading the U19s but they are likely to be pushed all the way by Inter Retirement, Atletico Sheppey and Mighty Boosh FC. Again this looks like it could go all the way and any 1 from the 4 mentioned could take the title, there are even another 2 teams with an outside chance of competing.

U18s

The Mighty Boosh look to be running away with the U18s this season and it looks like only 1 other team may be able to stop them the amusingly named Fat Kids Always Win at Seasaw.

U17s

This looks like a possible 3 horse race between current leaders Unathletic Madrid, Inter Retirement and Macduff FC with possible outside challenges from Mighty Boosh and Wrexham Tigers.

Last time I checked the SFA had 3 teams in the world top 10 youth sides and 5 in the top 25 so the youth side of things in the SFA is thriving, why not join in if you haven't already?

Finally an update on how the youth teams did in the UFFA gold cup this season. Inter Retirement and Jakswans were drawn in the same group this season and whilst Jak managed to qualify in 2nd place Nick wasn't so lucky and wasn't able to progress to the next round. Jakswans were then drawn against the current world no 1 youth team FC Bozzy in the next round and while they battled bravely went down in the end 2-1 away from home, an admirable performance. The 3rd team Unathletic Madrid were able to qualify top of their group and were drawn at home to Real Upminster in the next round and were cruely defeated 2-1 after the game was force started whilst away from the keyboard and the team picked for the match were all out of position red dots.

SFA Mid season league update

Premiership

A few new teams in the premiership this season and the unusual sight of 21 teams due to the addition of teams from other FAs. Sporting Arsenal decided to play almost their entire season in a week and as a result take a massive lead over second place Panathinaikos RepdieN but given that they have played 18 more games I'm sure it will be a different picture at the end of the season. Panathinaikos are starting to look invincible already having won 11 out of their 12 games played so far the question is can anybody stop them? The chasing pack look to be Macduff, Jakswans, Unathletic Madrid and Real Beziers based on results so far but surely they are only competing for 2nd and 3rd spots now and a place in the gold cup.
Top goalscorers:                              Games Goals
Mauro Zarate - Sporting Arsenal     30       20
Mario Gomez - Panathinaikos           12       14
Sergio Aguero - San Lorenzo             13       13

Championship

The race is on for promotion here with 3 teams edging ahead of the pack. Jambon d'louest currently lead from PINKNEYSDREAMS FC and London International F.C. but they have played 4 games more so expect them to be caught at some point, this one could go down to the wire. Still a few teams in this league yet to start their season and with only 1 and half weeks left maybe now would be a good time?
Top goalscorers:                                         Games Goals
Henok Goitom - London International      24       19
Godwin - Jambon d'louest                            28       15
Fernando Liorente - Wrexham Tigers       19       14

Division 1a

A tale of two halfs here with the top half of the league being very active but the bottom half filled with teams on 100% ai. Difficult to get any picture of this league so far as not many games have been played but early indications show a possible battle between New Saints FC, London IndoorFootball C.C., Cheviot Utd and Pyromyst argyle for those oh so precious promotion slots.
Top goalscorers:                     Games Goals
Rodrigo Palacio - Cork City      10        11
Lima - pyromist arglye              10        9
Dario Cvitanich                           14        7
