SFA end of season youth update part 2

U18s

The U18s went down to the wire as well with Mighty Boosh FC and Inter Retirement competing till the very last match but again the Boosh were just too strong and added yet another youth title to their cabinet, easy to do when you don't have a senior team.

U18 final league positions

1. Mighty Boosh FC 63
2. Inter Retirement 62
3. Unathletic Madrid 56

U18 player of the season

1. Ronald Fernandez - Unathletic Madrid 7.27
2. Peter Daly - Inter Retirement 7.22
3. Mauricio Casas - Wrexham Tigers 7.18

U18 top scorers

1. Johan Nilsson - Inter Retirement 14
1. Lucas Tavares - Wrexham Tigers 14
3. Julius Eze - Unathletic Madrid 13

The U18 cup final saw a dominant Inter Retirement take on surprise finalists North Nibbley Nobblers and Inter quickly took the lead in 15 minutes further cementing it in 56 minutes with a second. It was a nervy end and the nobblers were able to pull one back in the 81st minute but inter held on to take another youth title, congrats nick.

U17s

The U17s proved to be the most interesting league for a few people as the lead changed hands between 4 different clubs towards the end of the season and there were a few surprise results as the top 3 teams were all beaten by inactive ai team in the title run in causing a bit of teeth gnashing in consternation. Eventually the title was decided as Racing Tofflicence won on the last day of the season.

U17 final league positions

1. Racing Tofflicence 57
2. Inter Retirement 55
3. Unathletic Madrid 52

U17 player of the season

1. Vicente Virgili - Mighty Boosh FC 7.53
2. Aleksander Ismaili - Racing Tofflicence 7.24
3. Javier Medina - Unathletic Madrid 7.23

U17 top scorers

1. Aleksander Ismaili - Racing tofflicence 18
2. Johan Nilsson - Inter Retirement 14
3. Javier Medina - Unathletic Madrid 12

The U17 cup final involved yes you guess it Inter Retirement and relative newcomers Mighty Boosh FC. U17 games can throw up some surprising results but not this time as Inter ran out easy 3-0 winners but the big question on everybodies lips was would they have enough room for another youth trophy in the cabinet? Congrats again Nick.

Just a final mention of the youth world cups. In the UFFA youth gold cup we managed to get two teams to the knockout stages Jakswans and Unathletic Madrid but unfortunately both were knocked out in the first knockout stage. In the world youth cup Unathletic Madrid managed to get into the semis but there they faced the current youth world No.1 FC Bozzy, they managed to hold them for 90 minutes but Bozzy were too strong and went on to win 2-0 in extra time, they then went on to win the trophy so no shame there.

SFA Youth end of season update part 1

U21s

Well the anticipated close finish in the U21s did not materialise as the pre tournament favourites walked away with the title and they look unstoppable for next season.

U21 final league standings

1. Mighty Boosh FC 115 pts
2. Inter Retirement 103 pts
3. Jakswans 102 pts

U21 player of the season

1. German Villar - Mighty Boosh FC 7.82
2. Marcos Rogerio Barbieri - Mighty Boosh FC 7.56
3. Marco Ezio Fossati - Mighty Boosh FC 7.46

U21 top scorers

1. Thiago Ferreira Marinho - Real Darlington 42
2. Lucas Amaral - Mighty Boosh FC 30
3. Bjorn Siguroarson - Fremantle United 30

The cup final was contested by the Mighty Boosh FC and Real Darlington and the Mighty Boosh were looking comfortable at 2-0 up with 7 minutes to go but up popped Fabiano Soares with 2 goals one in the 91st minute to take the game to extra time. Extra time was played with no more goals and the game went to penalties. Unfotunately for the mighty boosh they missed 4 of their penalties and real darlington were able to lift the cup by scoring 2 of theirs, well done A.L.

U20s

The U20s was just as much a one horse race as the U21s with the Mighty Boosh walking away with this title as well.

U20 Final league standings

1. Mighty Boosh FC 62
2. Inter Retirement 48
3. Jakswans 45

U20 player of the season

1. German Villar - Mighty Boosh FC 7.90
2. Marcos Rogerio Barbieri - Mighty Boosh FC 7.65
3. Rob Kay - Mighty Boosh FC 7.63

U20 top scorers

1. Gael Etock - Jakswans 21
2. German Villar - Mighty Boosh FC 17
3. Lucas Amaral - Mighty Boosh FC 15

Surprisingly none of the top three league sides managed to make the cup final here it was between Racing Tofflicence and Worst Spam Disunited in a heavily one sided affair Racing cruised to an easy 2-0 win to capture their second youth trophy of the season and Paul was suitably chuffed.

U19s

The U19s was a much closer afair and actually went all the way to the last match but the Mighty Boosh were just to strong for Inter Retirement in the end winning by a narrow 2 pts.

U19 league final standings

1. Mighty Boosh FC 86
2. Inter Retirement 84
3. Racing Tofflicence 80

U19 Player of the season

1. German Villar - Mighty Boosh FC 7.50
2. Marcos Rogerio Barbieri - Mighty Boosh FC 7.41
3. Felipe Mendez - Racing Tofflicence 7.34

U19 top scorers

1. Johan Nilsson - Inter Retirement 28
2. Felipe Mendez - Racing Tofflicence 23
3. Gael Etock - Jakswans 21

The cup final was between Atletico Sheppey and Inter Retirement and was quite a close match but Inter Retirement proved to be too strong and won 2-0 with 2 goals early in the first half, well done Nick.

U18s and U17s to follow...

Best of luck Nick, we might not always see eye to eye on certain topics of debate but I've always respected the way you've gone about your business, you've been a credit to the Moderating team on Shearer and wish you the best of luck on Toms, not that you'll need it.
Kind Regards
Paul
Hi Everyone
This will possibly be my last official mail to the SFA Members in Shearer
I will be keeping my Inter Retirement side in here but from later this week/early next i will be Joining Toms as part of its Mod Team.I will continue to play in here but on a somewhat casual basis. So no asking for any of my players as i am keeping them all

Thanks for all your efforts in making my experience in here very enjoyable over the last few months, I hope you have enjoyed it as much as i have.I have made plenty of friends whilst in here & will be sorry to miss out on some of the banter that we exchange. My last thing i need us to do is WIN a major uffa competition, I am looking at George, Jak & Robert you know what we expect

I do leave you in very capable hands in Andy & Rob & with the rest of the F.A.'s support these to can get even better,So i do hope you do all get behind them & continue the success that i feel the SFA is

Also last week Stewart started contributing to the SFA blog (link is on the FA profile page) so if any of you have match reports, interesting stories or are just prepared to help him out i think all
would be accepted

Thanks you have been great Nick

 SFA Midseason youth update

For many seasons the youth in the SFA has been dominated by two teams Inter Retirement and Jakswans but has their dominance come to an end....

U21s

Starting with the U21s which was a 3 horse race last season and eventually won by Jakswans we can see two teams starting to open a lead in points Unathletic Madrid and Racing Tofflicence but this is only due to the fact they have played more games. According to the lastest points predictions both of these teams will be overhauled by Inter Retirement, Amogen Athletic, Jakswans, Real Darlington and surprise package Mighty Boosh in what promises to be the most exciting finish to the U21s ever. Whatever happens there will be some very interesting matches to come over the next week.

U20s

New for this season we have the U20s which at the moment is dominated by the Mighty Boosh who have won all 7 of their games so far. Inter Retirement look to be on form to challenge the Mighty Boosh whilst Jakswans are not far off and in with an outside chance.

U19s

Currently Racing Tofflicence are leading the U19s but they are likely to be pushed all the way by Inter Retirement, Atletico Sheppey and Mighty Boosh FC. Again this looks like it could go all the way and any 1 from the 4 mentioned could take the title, there are even another 2 teams with an outside chance of competing.

U18s

The Mighty Boosh look to be running away with the U18s this season and it looks like only 1 other team may be able to stop them the amusingly named Fat Kids Always Win at Seasaw.

U17s

This looks like a possible 3 horse race between current leaders Unathletic Madrid, Inter Retirement and Macduff FC with possible outside challenges from Mighty Boosh and Wrexham Tigers.

Last time I checked the SFA had 3 teams in the world top 10 youth sides and 5 in the top 25 so the youth side of things in the SFA is thriving, why not join in if you haven't already?

Finally an update on how the youth teams did in the UFFA gold cup this season. Inter Retirement and Jakswans were drawn in the same group this season and whilst Jak managed to qualify in 2nd place Nick wasn't so lucky and wasn't able to progress to the next round. Jakswans were then drawn against the current world no 1 youth team FC Bozzy in the next round and while they battled bravely went down in the end 2-1 away from home, an admirable performance. The 3rd team Unathletic Madrid were able to qualify top of their group and were drawn at home to Real Upminster in the next round and were cruely defeated 2-1 after the game was force started whilst away from the keyboard and the team picked for the match were all out of position red dots.

SFA Mid season league update

Premiership

A few new teams in the premiership this season and the unusual sight of 21 teams due to the addition of teams from other FAs. Sporting Arsenal decided to play almost their entire season in a week and as a result take a massive lead over second place Panathinaikos RepdieN but given that they have played 18 more games I'm sure it will be a different picture at the end of the season. Panathinaikos are starting to look invincible already having won 11 out of their 12 games played so far the question is can anybody stop them? The chasing pack look to be Macduff, Jakswans, Unathletic Madrid and Real Beziers based on results so far but surely they are only competing for 2nd and 3rd spots now and a place in the gold cup.
Top goalscorers:                              Games Goals
Mauro Zarate - Sporting Arsenal     30       20
Mario Gomez - Panathinaikos           12       14
Sergio Aguero - San Lorenzo             13       13

Championship

The race is on for promotion here with 3 teams edging ahead of the pack. Jambon d'louest currently lead from PINKNEYSDREAMS FC and London International F.C. but they have played 4 games more so expect them to be caught at some point, this one could go down to the wire. Still a few teams in this league yet to start their season and with only 1 and half weeks left maybe now would be a good time?
Top goalscorers:                                         Games Goals
Henok Goitom - London International      24       19
Godwin - Jambon d'louest                            28       15
Fernando Liorente - Wrexham Tigers       19       14

Division 1a

A tale of two halfs here with the top half of the league being very active but the bottom half filled with teams on 100% ai. Difficult to get any picture of this league so far as not many games have been played but early indications show a possible battle between New Saints FC, London IndoorFootball C.C., Cheviot Utd and Pyromyst argyle for those oh so precious promotion slots.
Top goalscorers:                     Games Goals
Rodrigo Palacio - Cork City      10        11
Lima - pyromist arglye              10        9
Dario Cvitanich                           14        7

SFA UFFA Cup update

So I bet like me you were wondering how our teams did in the UFFA comps the best of the best, well wonder no further as I take you through a quick update on each of the teams so far this season.

Gold Cup

Panathinaikos RedieN were probably our best hope for success here as the reigning SFA champions and George did not let the SFA down in the initial leagues. Despite drawing the world No.3 team Cardiff Capitals in their group they still managed to qualify from the group in 2nd place with 13 pts. In their first knockout match they managed to defeat their opponents 1-0 in the away leg and are looking good to go through to the next round. Unfortunately it was not to be for Real Beziers and Atletico Sheppey as they were both unlucky not to qualify from the group stages, Michel only missed out by 1 pt, better luck next year guys!

Silver Cup

Jakswans and Macduff were both drawn in the same group as each other and in the head to head it was Macduff who came out on top with a win and a draw. Despite this setback Jak still managed to win their league with John only 2 points behind in third this was still good enough to see John progress with Jak to the knockout stages. Jakswans were given the easier draw against Silkes Boys while Macduff were drawn against the more formidable Montyschofield Utd, we await the results with interest. Unathletic Madrid had a good old battle in their league finally coming out on top on goal difference. The next round saw them drawn against Lucholandia FC who are a very strong team. The first match was a very close afair with Stewart winning 2-1 but could the away goal be the killer. The return leg saw a much weakened Unathletic Madrid side (no wanderley) and they could do nothing to stop Lucholandia winning comfortably 2-0 on the night and 3-2 on aggregrate. Our final team Manchester XTC were unfortunately not able to qualify from their group.

A final update will appear here at the end of the season.

Season 5

Hi Everyone
Season 5 has begun

All the senior comps have been started the youth comps will be kicked off Tuesday at 7pm so you have just under 2 days to decide weather to enter or not.

If you haven't noticed the Premiership & Championship Divisions have been extended to 21 teams each this season to accommodate 2 sides from the disbanded AFA fa, Normally when you change FA's you get allocated to the bottom tier but with this being forced upon them they have gone in at an higher level.Fremantle United have gone in at Premiership level & 3 Shredded Wheat have gone in at Championship level.

We also gained a number of new sides, some from other FA's others new to the gameworld, So welcome to them all.
We have 2 inter FA comps on the go (see mails sent out during today) & hope to get enough sides involved to get these underway asap

Wishing everyone Good luck for season 5

Cheers Nick

The main concerns are really how strong the ai is, but after all said and done my record against the ai is petty much the same as it is against human clubs.
Maybe a Seniors league to keep some of the legends alive can u imagine running a del piero at 45!

Unathletic Madrid Interview

Unathletic Madrid Managed by Stewart Malcolm

Are the first Team to win the SFA Premiership in Shearer.
There are only two teams to have played in every season of Division One of the SFA Active League and Madrid are on of those teams.
The team has been home to some big names one no other than former great Daniele De Rossi who was stunning in the Premiership winning team in Season 2 and off course Wanderley plays a pivotal role in the clubs fortunes.
In recent seasons Unathletic Madrid have been formidable opponents on the youth circuit rising to 13th in Youth World Rankings.
The Ally Macoist stadium has planned capacity of 27,000 home to a mainly hardcore support of 30,000.
The game describes the team as follows 'The side have been branded in recent times as a side with an extremely physical approach to the game. They battle hard and muscle the opposition off the ball and whilst this tactic isn't always the most beautiful to watch it ensures the side are not an opponent to be taken lightly.'
Onlookers were stunned when De Rossi was sold was it all part of a plot for world domination? We caught up with Stewart to find out his views on Fm Live and more importantly why was De Rossi sold!

First off your background did you play FM Live in Beta? No I didn't play in the beta but my friend did but being in the beta didn't seem to help him as I won the premiership and he was relegated to the bottom SFA league...needless to say he's not happy Impressions of Fm Live so far? It's been annoying, frustrating and painful but in some odd way great fun.

Whatever happens in Shearer and the SFA the most coveted title is the Premiership I guess you must be pretty proud to have won the first one? - Yeah I was shocked to win the first title as I thought I'd have been battling to avoid relegation I guess de rossi and wanderley just clicked it was a nervy finish as Jakswans and Inter Retirement chased me all the way, cheers for a great battle guys.

I was amazed when De Rossi was sold he was a Madrid legend in Shearer why did you sell him? - I sold de rossi for 2 reasons one his huge wages (62k) and secondly because anytime he got injured my team collapsed which basically showed I had a one man team and I wanted to get away from that. For a defensive midfielder he scored a ton of goals even scoring 5 in one game which most frontmen never achieve. I was sorry to let him go as he was dynamite but it was needed to allow me to rebuild the team. Who knows we may see him back in the premiership as the team that bought him are riding high in the championship.

On your profile page is says Wanderley is not for sale at any price, really any price? - Wanderley is my star youth find and is core to the team I am building, getting such a quality player for a sensible wage would be impossible in this day and age so yes he will never be for sale. Having said that he's not playing too well this season but I am trying out new formations so it's not surprising.

What are your long term aims in Shearer and who do you think will end up as Champions in Season Four and even Season Five! - My long term plan is to stay in the premiership and try and win a few more titles, maybe even a cup win and try and compete with the big boys in the gold cup. I'm also trying to break the stranglehold that Jak and Nick have on the youths atm so I have been working on my youth players. Despite the good start I've made to the season I still think Real Beziers are the team to beat so it will be interesting to see if they go on to win again or can somebody else (not me) stop them.

The S.F.A Cup

The SFA Cup kicked off in earnest with 80 teams entered into the Cup seeking a bigger portion of the 3 million prize money and of course the coveted title of SFA Cup Champion.

The first game took place on the 1st of January and there was no real big shocks in the first round, Macduff and Aidies Almighies, Line United Recorded wins with clean sheets

Second Round
In the Second Round Real Darlington won 17-0, which might sound impressive, but its not as shocking when you realise that Newcastle FC played a Defender in goals for some reason., Phil Miles impressive IFA FC humbled The Premierships Muppet United 5-1 in the first shock result of the round. XYU FC caused the next shock with a 2-1 win over Unathletic Madrid who were highly tipped for the cup. Aidies Almightys also bowed out on penalties to Kokas FC. MacDuff FC survived a shock at Balloon FC to come through the round 3-2 having gone 2-0 down. A few tasty Shocks there.

Third Round
Giant Killers IFA FC couldnt make it 2 in a row as Real Darlington brushed them aside 2-0, Jakswans narrowly progressed in a tight match against bagsy and balk 1-0. XYU FC continued their good form with a entertaining 4-2 win. The All premiership matchup between Bene's Geordie Horses and FC Chapmanio was a cracker with The Horses coming out on top 3-2. Obrov Tubiblu pushed forward with a good 2-0 win against Mine Kicks Asss. In a wierd turn of events, Inter Retirement won 3-2 in a match versus Whats Football,
Wouter Jansens FC Toontje marched on with a controlling 2-0 over Hurtlocker FC.
An all premiership affair saw Wrexham Tigers and MAcduff FC lock horns, 1-1 at HT 2-2 at FT and 3-3 after ET it went to peno's
These two just couldnt be seperated but finally after 9 arduos penalties, Jorge Bava Missed putting Macduff FC through.
Finally Kokas FC took another big scalp with Line United falling fowl to the giant Killer 1-0.

Fourth Round
XYU FC went out 5-3 to Georie Horses after their brave run, while Wouter JAnssen's Toontje claimed another scalp sending Inter Retirement crashing out. Giant Killers Kokas FC finally found their match in Macduff FC while Obrov Tubiblue and RSVP Rangers and Pina Nelas all progressing in tight matches.

Quarter Finals
In the first quarter final Jakswans made light work of superboys with a supreme performance brushing them aside 5-0.
Bene's Geordie Horses took a 3-2 win against Pina Nelas in a tight match which could have gone either way.
Obrov Tuliblu continued their run in the All Social C Affair with a 2-0 over FC Toontje
And rounding up the round waas John Gardiners Macduff FC who brushed aside RSVP Rangers

Semi Finals
The First Semi final saw premiership boys Jakswans and Bene's Geordie Horses in what was to be a very tight affair. the first half saw the two defenses come out on top as it closed 0-0, the second half was largely the same until the 78th minute when Bene's Geordie Horses made the breakthrough. Jakswans laid seige but The geordie horses defense were resolute and held out for the 1-0 win.

In the second of the two Semi finals saw unlikely semi finalist Obrov Tuliblu flying the flag for the lower divisions come up against the tough Macduff FC. Obrov Tuliblu put up a resolute showing in the first half 0-0 but Macduff made a breakthrough shortly after the second half as Jobson found the net, Maikon Leite added a second in the 88th minute to seal a 2-0 win for Macduff and setup an all Premiership Final

The Final
Bene's Geordie Horses .vs. Macduff FC
MAcduff FC's team put in a sterling showing to lay claim to the SFA Cup. 57% possession as they dominated the exchanges by and large, They could not find a way past the Geordie Horses Defense in the first half but Eddie Gaven put a classy finish on a clever ball over the top to take the lead. After 83 minutes Macduff found the net again as Jobson ran between 2 defenders holding them off and beating an onrushing goalkeeper in a classy goal worthy of sealing a cup.

So John Gardiners Macduff FC win the sFA Cup in Season 2 not without some close shaves along the way. They join the other competition winners in Champions Trophy as well as taking their place in the UFFA Cup Winners Cup
A Massive Thanks goes out to Aidan Cuffe for taking the time to do the report for all of the SFA Members
